FINDR (developer: Feria Information Systems (FIS)) lets you request permanent deletion of your account and associated data at any time. You can do this yourself from inside the app, or by emailing us.
Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open the FINDR app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete forever.
Your account is removed immediately and you are signed out. If an order, delivery, ride, booking, payment, refund or cash-out is still in progress, the app asks you to let it finish (or cancel it) first.
If you have money in your FINDR wallet, driver earnings or agent commissions, withdraw it first. The app tells you the amount. FINDR credit, rewards and FINDR Points are not cash and are lost when you delete your account.
If you own a business on FINDR, your business listing stays on FINDR but is no longer linked to you. Someone else can claim it later. Pay any restock order you owe a wholesaler first. Staff access is removed. Your payout details and business verification are kept privately by FINDR for legal and accounting reasons and are not visible to anyone who claims the shop later.
A few accounts need our support team to finish the deletion, for example when a balance, a payout or a delivery claim is still being settled. The app tells you, and your request is sent to our team automatically. You can also email support@findrgh.com.
If you signed in with Apple, the app may ask you to confirm with Apple before it deletes your account. You can also remove FINDR from your Apple ID yourself at any time: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign in with Apple (under Sign-In & Security on newer iPhones).
Or request deletion by email
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email, phone, saved address and location. FINDR keeps only a one-way code of your phone number and email (see below).
- Saved favourites, destinations and preferences.
- Notifications, notification settings and push-device registrations.
- Your FINDR Assistant chats.
- Search history and personalisation data.
- Your driver profile and documents, if you were a driver.
- Your reviews and any business claims you submitted.
- Your sign-in credentials (the account can no longer be logged into).
What is retained, and for how long
For legal, accounting and fraud-prevention reasons, businesses you transacted with, and FINDR, keep records of past transactions. After deletion they are anonymised: your name on them is replaced with "Deleted customer", and the phone number, address, map location and notes are removed. Amounts, items and dates stay. Payment records keep the mobile money number a payment came from, so a refund can still reach you. An order, ride or delivery that was not finished when you deleted your account keeps its details so it can still be completed.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Order, delivery, ride, hotel, dine-in and appointment records (your name shows as "Deleted customer"; phone, address, location and notes removed) | Kept by the merchant for their accounting/tax obligations |
| Payments, refunds, refund requests, wallet, FINDR credit and FINDR Points records (including the mobile money number a payment came from, so a refund can still reach you) | Kept for accounting, tax and fraud-prevention obligations |
| Chats with businesses, riders, drivers, property managers and job contacts | Kept, with their messages, for safety and dispute handling; in chats where you were the customer, the chat shows "Deleted customer" instead of your name |
| A business listing you owned (its name, menu or products, pictures, opening hours and the contact details on the listing) | Stays on FINDR as an unclaimed listing that someone else can claim |
| Payout details and business verification (Ghana Card, Mobile Money or bank details) for a business you owned | Kept privately by FINDR for legal and accounting reasons; only FINDR's payouts team can see them, never a later owner of the listing |
| Support requests | Kept so we can answer complaints and disputes |
| One-way code of your phone number and email | 3 years after deletion, then removed |
| Aggregate, non-identifying analytics | Indefinite (cannot identify you) |
Your phone number and email cannot be used for a new FINDR account for 3 years. When your account is deleted, FINDR keeps a one-way code (a keyed hash) of the phone number and email address on the account. We use it only to stop that phone number or email from being used for a new FINDR account, or that phone number from being added to another FINDR account. The code is not your number or email, it is not linked to any other data, and it can only be used to check whether a phone number or email matches it. We keep it for 3 years and then remove it. If you think you are blocked by mistake, email support@findrgh.com and our support team can remove the code.
