Get a ride, order food and from local shops, send a parcel, find events, book a stay, hire a skilled worker, pay school fees, and earn rewards, all from FINDR. This guide walks you through it.
1Getting started
FINDR is free to download and free to join.
Install & sign in
Download FINDR from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Open the app and enter your phone number (e.g. 024 123 4567), then tap Continue.
Type the 6-digit code we text you and tap Verify. That's it, no password needed.
Prefer email? On the login screen choose Continue with email & password instead.
Tip: Allow location and notifications when asked. Location finds drivers and shops near you; notifications keep you posted on your ride and orders.
2Finding your way around
The bar at the bottom has four tabs:
Home: services, search, offers and rewards.
Activity: your live ride, deliveries, open table tab and recent messages.
Favorites: items you've saved and places you love.
Profile: your details, orders, tickets, settings and more.
On Home, the service buttons take you straight to what you need: Ride, Package, Food, Stay, Property, Garage, Hire, Learn and Pay. Use the search pill (“Restaurants, hotels, shops…”) or Explore nearby to discover businesses around you.
Searching further afield: when you browse or search, change how far to look (5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 km), or search around any town or landmark if what you want isn't right next to you and you're not sure of its exact name. Didn't allow location? You can still pick an area to search.
3Getting a ride
Tap Ride on Home.
Set Where to? Search a place, drop a pin, or pick a saved spot. Your pickup is set from your location automatically.
Choose your ride: Dropping (private car), Trotro (shared, splits the fare), Okada (motorbike) or Pragia. For a private car you can pick Basic, Comfort or Premium.
Check the upfront fare and how many minutes until pickup. Add a promo code if you have one.
Choose how to pay, then tap Confirm Ride.
During the trip
See your driver's picture, name, rating, car and plate before they arrive. The picture is a live selfie taken when the driver registered; check it matches the person who picks you up.
Message or call the driver, and share your trip with a safety contact. How ride safety works.
Watch the live map and ETA until you arrive.
Book ahead: Tap Later / Schedule to set a pickup for a future time, handy for early flights or appointments.
4Food & shopping
Tap Makola on Home (or search) and open a restaurant or shop.
Browse the menu or shop. Tap an item to choose options and quantity, then Add to cart. Tap the ♡ to save favourites.
Open your cart and tap Go to checkout.
Choose how to get it: Delivery to your address, or Pickup (where the shop offers it) to collect it yourself: no delivery fee, and the shop's location shows under Pick up at. Add any notes, and a delivery time if you want.
Pick a payment method and tap Place order.

Have FINDR credit from rewards? Toggle Use my FINDR credit at checkout to apply it. Track your order live: a notification on your phone follows every step, from Preparing to Ready for pickup or On the way with your courier's ETA. Find past orders and receipts under Profile → My Orders.
Picking up? Pay in the app, or with cash when you collect. We'll notify you the moment your order is ready. Just come and collect it.
5Sending a package
Tap Package on Home.
Set the pickup and drop-off points on the map.
Pick a vehicle (motorbike, car, van…); the fee shows for each.
Add the receiver's name and phone, plus any handling notes. You can add a cash-on-delivery amount for the receiver to pay, or schedule it for later.
Tap Request courier and track it live until it's delivered.
6Dine-in at the table
At a participating restaurant, tap the Scan icon on Home and scan the QR code on your table.
The menu opens with your table already set. Add items and send them to the kitchen.
Need service? Tap Call waiter.
When you're done, tap Pay now and settle the whole tab by Mobile Money, card or cash, and add a tip if you like.
7What's On: events & tickets
Open What's On from Home and filter by type (concerts, theatre, sports, festivals…).
Tap an event for full details, then Get tickets to buy in the app.
Tap Get a ride to hail a car straight to the venue.
Your tickets live under Profile → My Tickets; show the QR code at the door.
8Hotel stays
Find a hotel or guesthouse and open it, then choose Book a stay.
Set your check-in / check-out dates and number of guests.
Pick a room and tap Reserve, then pay by Mobile Money, card or cash.
See and manage bookings under Profile → My Stays.
9Cars & property
Garage (cars for sale or hire) and Property (homes and land to rent or buy) work the same way:
Open Garage or Property from Home and filter by type, price and location.
Open a listing for photos, details and the seller's contact.
Tap Request test drive (cars) or Request viewing (property) and pick a date and time. The seller confirms.

Own rental property? FINDR also includes property management: keep your residents, staff and maintenance requests in one place; it works from anywhere, even outside Ghana. Residents use the My residence view to raise requests and follow their home's upkeep.
10Hire a skilled worker
Tap Hire on Home.
Tap Post a job and describe the work (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, cleaning, any skilled trade) with your location.
Nearby workers bid on your job. Open each bid to see the worker's profile, rating and price.
Pick the bid you like and hire. Chat in the app to arrange the details.
Good to know: you agree the price with your worker and pay them directly; job payments don't go through the app.
Do skilled work yourself? Create a worker profile, bid on jobs near you, and build your rating to win more work.
11Learn: school fees, classes & Study Buddy
Tap Learn on Home for everything school:
Study Buddy: a free AI study tutor for homework and BECE/WASSCE prep. Chat by text or voice, and now in Twi too: switch to Twi and it teaches in Twi (or a natural Twi–English mix), and in Twi voice mode it listens to you speaking and talks back in a Ghanaian voice. Exam terms and practice questions stay in English. Take a graded quiz on any topic (5 or 10 questions, marked instantly with explanations that teach the method), and a topic only shows as mastered once you pass, so you get an honest picture of your weak spots. Study from your own material: upload your notes or past papers (PDFs or pictures) and it answers and builds quizzes grounded in them. And if you're enrolled in a class, quiz straight from a lesson in one tap. Still 100% free.
My classes: lessons and materials (videos and PDFs) posted by your school or tutor, grouped by section, with questions you can ask right on a lesson. Your tutor can enrol you by phone, or give you a join code: tap Join with a code in My classes and enter it. If the class has a joining fee, pay it right in the app by MoMo or card and the lessons unlock at once. You'll get a notification whenever a new lesson is posted.
Pay school fees: find your school, enter the details, and pay directly by Mobile Money. Every payment is saved in your history. Add the student's FINDR phone when you pay and, if the school uses Classroom, their lessons unlock automatically once the fees are paid.
Find schools & tutors: browse education listings near you, with contact and directions.
12Spin & Win rewards
Open Spin & Win from Home or Rewards. Spin the wheel once a day to win FINDR credit.
Check in daily to build a streak; longer streaks earn bonuses.
Spend your FINDR credit at checkout on rides and orders (toggle it on when you pay).
13Messages, safety & blocking
Chat with a business, driver or courier from Messages (Profile or the Home messages icon), and tap Call when you need to talk.
Your driver's picture and plate are shown before pickup, and you can share your trip with someone you trust. The picture is a live selfie from the driver's registration; check the face matches before you get in. How ride safety works.
In any chat, use the menu to Report or Block someone. Blocking stops all further messages from them.
14Profile, payments & settings
Your stuff, in one place
Under Profile you'll find My Orders, My Tickets, My Stays, My Deliveries, My Properties/Cars and your viewing requests, plus Favourite Destinations and Ride History.
Addresses the Ghana way
Search by place name, landmark, or your GhanaPostGPS digital address when setting pickup, delivery or saved locations.
Payments

Set a default in Profile → Payment Method; you can still change it at any checkout.
For everyday payments, tap Pay on Home: top up your FINDR Wallet, pay for fuel at partner stations, pay school fees, and track your prepaid electricity meter, all from one place.
Notifications & account
In Settings choose which alerts you get (ride updates, offers, weekend events). You can also delete your account there if you ever need to.
