FINDR Haul connects truck and pickup drivers with wholesalers and businesses that need goods moved. Businesses post a price; you accept it or bid. You are paid to your FINDR wallet after the drop-off code and a 24-hour hold, then you cash out to MoMo. This guide walks you through it.
1How FINDR Haul works
A wholesaler or a verified business posts a delivery job: where to pick up, where to drop off, the load, the smallest vehicle that fits, a pickup window and the price they will pay.
You see the jobs that fit your vehicle and accept the price or send a bid.
The business chooses a driver and pays FINDR. FINDR holds the money.
You collect the goods with a pickup code from the business and deliver them with a drop-off code from the receiver.
Your pay lands in your FINDR wallet, on hold for 24 hours, then you can cash it out to MoMo.
Open now, starting with Koforidua. FINDR Haul is open in selected areas, starting with Koforidua. FINDR takes no commission for now (0%): you keep the agreed fee, less any cancellation charge you owe (see Cancelling and charges). We will give you at least 30 days' notice in the app before any commission is introduced.
You must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid Ghana driving licence for the vehicle you drive. You give your licence number and date of birth when you sign up.
New to driving with FINDR
You can sign up for Haul only. You do not need to do rides or food deliveries.
In the FINDR app, open the You tab and tap Drive with FINDR.
Tap Haul goods.
On Haul goods with FINDR, enter your full name, your driving licence class and number, your date of birth, and the MoMo number and network (MTN, Telecel or AirtelTigo) you want to cash out to. Your phone number is the one you signed in with.
Take a selfie so businesses can recognise you.
Tap Next: add a vehicle.
Already a FINDR driver or rider
Open your driver dashboard and switch from Drive to Haul at the top. On the Haul goods with FINDR card, tap Add a vehicle. On Apply for FINDR Haul, check your licence number and add your date of birth, then add your vehicle. Your rides and deliveries carry on as before.
The FINDR Haul Driver Terms
When the app shows the terms, tap Read the terms, tick the box to agree, and tap I agree, continue. If the terms change, the app asks you to agree to the new version before your next bid.
Signed up before, but your details are missing? Your Haul tab shows Complete your details. Add your licence number and date of birth to see haul jobs and bid again. Your live trips, earnings and cash-out keep working. A date of birth already on file can only be corrected by FINDR support.
3Add your vehicle and documents
You can add more than one vehicle. Each one is checked on its own.
How much it carries in kilograms, and the body: open, box (covered), refrigerated or tipper.
Number plate, for example GR 1234-24.
Pictures: the front with the plate showing, the side and the load area. At least one picture must show the plate.
Documents
Document
Needed?
Roadworthy (expiry date)
Required
Insurance that covers commercial goods use (expiry date)
Required
DVLA sticker (expiry date)
Required
Goods-in-transit insurance
Optional. Businesses see it on your bids.
A missing or expired roadworthy, insurance or DVLA sticker, insurance that does not cover carrying goods for payment, or no number plate blocks the vehicle from haul jobs. This happens on the expiry date and FINDR cannot override it. Keep your dates up to date. Changing any vehicle detail sends it back for review, and you cannot bid with it until it is verified again.
4Getting approved
Tap Submit for review. Your Haul tab shows Under review while FINDR checks your details and your vehicle. We tell you when you are approved, and the tab then shows Approved for FINDR Haul. You can bid with any vehicle FINDR has verified.
5Find haul jobs
On the Haul tab, tap Haul jobs. You see open jobs that fit one of your verified vehicles. Choose how far to look: Within 30 km, 80 km or 200 km.
Each job shows the pickup and drop-off areas, the trip distance, how far it is from you, the load, the smallest vehicle that fits, the pickup window and the price. Posted price only means the business does not take bids.
Declared value: if the business declared what the goods are worth, the job shows it, for example Declared value GH₵ 8000.00: you are responsible up to this. If the goods are lost or damaged in your care, that is the most you are responsible for. If the business left it blank or entered 0, it counts as not declared and the limit is the agreed haul price. The limit does not protect you, or anyone helping you, if the goods are stolen or lost on purpose.
Phone numbers and the drop-off pin stay hidden until the business pays.
Post that you are free
Tap I'm available, pin where you are, name the area, and add where you are heading if you want a return load (for example Accra). Choose the vehicle and how long you are free, then tap Post. Businesses near you can then invite you to bid on their jobs.
6Accept or bid
Open a job and tap Accept (for example Accept GH₵500) to take the posted price, or Bid a different price (in whole cedis, up to GH₵20,000) when the business allows bids.
Under I can be at pickup in, pick 30 min, 1 h, 2 h or 4 h, add a note for the business if you like, and tap Send bid (or Accept the price if you are taking the business's price).
Changed your mind? Tap Withdraw while the business is still choosing. It costs nothing.
If the business chooses you, we tell you. Do not set off yet. The business has a short time to pay. We tell you the moment it is paid, and then the pickup details and phone numbers show on the job.
Track all your jobs under My bids and hauls on the Haul tab.
7The trip and the two codes
You never see the codes in your app. They come from the people at each end, and they are how you get paid.
Go to pickup. Open the trip, tap Navigate, and use Call the business if you need to.
Pickup code. Once the goods are on your truck, ask the business for the pickup code, type it in and tap Confirm pickup.
Go to drop-off. Drive safely to the receiver. Use Call the receiver if you need to.
Drop-off code. When the goods are off the truck, ask the receiver for the drop-off code, type it in and tap Confirm drop-off.
Five wrong tries lock the haul. The app shows how many tries you have left. After five wrong codes, code entry locks until FINDR checks it. Contact FINDR support to finish the haul. Always ask the person to read the code again before you type it.
Keep your phone's location on while a haul is in progress, so the business and the receiving shop can see where the goods are. Once you have entered the pickup code you cannot cancel in the app; if you cannot finish the trip, contact FINDR support at once.
8Goods you must not carry
Never carry passengers for payment on a haul. Refuse loads that include:
anything illegal, stolen or fake;
weapons, ammunition, explosives or fireworks;
fuel or gas in bulk, gas cylinders, chemicals, acids, poisons or other dangerous goods;
drugs, or medicines that need a licence to move, unless the business shows that licence;
cash, gold, precious stones or minerals, jewellery, or cheques;
timber, minerals or other goods that need a permit, unless the business shows you the permit;
live animals of any kind;
people, or human or animal remains;
a load bigger or heavier than your vehicle can safely and lawfully carry.
Refuse the load at pickup
Do not enter the pickup code. On the trip, tap Refuse this load.
Say what the load is and why it is prohibited, and add up to 6 pictures if you can. Tap Refuse the load.
FINDR's Haul desk reviews it. While it does, do not collect the load.
What FINDR decides
What it means for you
The load is prohibited
The haul is cancelled as the business's cancel. No charge to you.
The load is allowed
FINDR asks you to collect it. If you still will not carry it, it counts as you cancelling (see Cancelling and charges).
Found prohibited goods after you entered the pickup code? Stop somewhere safe and contact FINDR support at once. FINDR's Haul desk decides what happens.
9Getting paid and cashing out
Into your wallet, on hold: after the drop-off code, your haul payment goes into your FINDR wallet on hold for 24 hours. You are paid the agreed fee, less any open cancellation charge.
Haul earnings shows each haul as On hold with the date it is available on, then Released to wallet.
Cash out: once released, tap Cash out to send the money to your MoMo. FINDR pays the cash-out transfer fee for haul pay for now.
No FINDR Points: hauls do not earn FINDR Points.
If a problem is reported: the business or the receiving shop can report a short or damaged load during the 24-hour hold. Your payment then waits while FINDR looks into it, and FINDR contacts you. Answer within 48 hours, or FINDR decides on what it has. FINDR may release it to you, refund the business, or split it.
10Cancelling and charges
The rule is simple: whoever cancels pays the payment processing fee.
What happens
What it means for you
You withdraw a bid before the business chooses
Nothing to pay.
You step back after being chosen, before the business pays
Nothing to pay. The haul opens again for other drivers.
You cancel a paid haul
The business gets a full refund. The payment processing fee comes off your next haul payment.
You do not pick up within the pickup window
The business can cancel for a full refund. The payment processing fee comes off your next haul payment.
The business cancels before pickup
No charge to you.
FINDR confirms a load you refused is prohibited
No charge to you. It counts as the business cancelling.
FINDR cancels the haul
No charge to you.
A charge you owe shows in Haul earnings as a cancellation charge that comes off your next haul payment. It never takes a payment below zero, and you are never asked to pay it any other way. Once a haul is picked up it cannot be cancelled in the app; FINDR support handles it.
